It gives me great pleasure to bring out the sixth issue of the International Journal of Microwave and Optical Technology (IJMOT) for the year 2009. This issue contains good mixture of papers in microwave analysis, antennas using ferrites, FDTD modeling of microstrip circuits, soliton propagation and refractive index determination. Our efforts for user friendly software development for IJMOT are still on and we hope to complete this task in the near future. This being the last issue for the year 2009, we are publishing only 7 papers in this issue as we are still waiting for reviewers’ comments on large number of papers submitted in 2009
As you might have noticed that for last few moths there have been difficulties in accessing to IJMOT website, submission of manuscripts, paper resubmission etc.. Actually lately several changes have been taking place in the Webhost Server of IJMOT which is not under our control. Due to these changes we have to continuously modify IJMOT website codes to keep pace with the server changes. We sincerely apologize to our authors, subscribers for any inconvenience due to these changes. We are trying our best to publish IJMOT issues within time frame as much as possible. We hope these problems will be over once the host server modification is completed. For the time being, all authors are requested to send their new or revised manuscripts to me as an attachment.
I am again requesting to all the authors of the published papers to contribute the voluntary page charges as much as possible. It is absolutely necessary for maintaining publication time-line, free of charge publication/access to the authors and quality of the publications.
I would also request our contributors/subscribers to participate in large number in the upcoming 12th International Symposium on Microwave and Optical Technology (ISMOT-2009) to be held in New Delhi, India from December 16-19, 2009 under the leadership of Prof. R.S. Gupta of University of Delhi. For complete details about the technical program, registration, accommodation and other information, please visit the ISMOT-2009 website at: www.ismot2009.in. The technical program committee of ISMOT-2009 has selected over 300 papers from more than 35 countries. I hope to personally meet most of you during this symposium. I am sure it is going to be very exciting and stimulating symposium.
My special thanks to our web manager Mr. Syam Challa for his continued efforts for improving the IJMOT website and helping in the publication of every issue since last year.
