Dear authors and subscribers, the fifth issue of IJMOT and third in 2007 is now available on the IJMOT web site. I apologize to you for bringing this latest issue so late due to technical and some other difficulties at our end. Due to this reason you may notice that some of the papers were actually submitted and reviewed in the month of September 2007 as the physical publication of this issue took place on October 6, 2007. But we still published this issue as the July 2007 publication to maintain the consistency with quarterly publication. This issue contains 10 papers thoroughly reviewed by our expert reviewers from all over the globe. The success of IJMOT is highly dependent on the hard work performed by these reviewers and Associate Editors. We are marching ahead with full vigor and are trying to make necessary improvements for the convenience of our associate editors, authors, reviewers and subscribers alike. We hope to incorporate these highly desirable and friendlier changes to IJMOT possibly in the next issue. I am very thankful to all of you for showing great understanding and patience in these publications. I am looking forward to your full cooperation in subscription and paper contribution areas as many of you and your institutions have not yet become subscriber of IJMOT. Also please spread the word about IJMOT among your colleagues and friends. Our target is to make IJMOT one of the best established journals in the field within three years period with papers being published in the shortest possible time frame.

Also, just a reminder that another main activity of ISRAMT is the organization of the International Symposium on Microwave and Optical Technology (ISMOT). The 11th ISMOT-2007 will be held at Villa Mondragone, Monte Porzio Catone, Italy from 17-21 December 2007 under the leadership of Prof. Franco Giannini of the University of Rome, Italy. We hope to see you in this conference in large number and remember that the selected papers accepted for the ISMOT conference will be published in IJMOT as full length papers after normal review process.
