Manuscript Title:  Characterization of Wave Penetration through Multilayered Cylindrical Apertures Using an Iterative Method Based on Transverse Wave Formulation
Manuscript Id: IJMOT-2008-2-292
Abstract:  The coupling of electromagnetic (EM) wave through multilayered cylindrical apertures is analyzed by a transverse wave method called Wave Concept Iterative Process (WCIP).Diffraction operators describing the coupling between the studied structure and the free space are defined and expanded in a cylindrical modal basis functions. The iterative process is generated by two equations defined in the spatial domain .The efficiency and accuracy of the proposed technique are validated by illustrative examples in both TE and TM polarizations.

Manuscript Title:  Effect of Slot and Substrate Parameters on CPW-Fed Slot Antenna-Analysis
Manuscript Id: IJMOT-2008-7-337
Abstract:  CPW-Fed planar antenna has simple structure and it’s uni-planar nature made it superior among various planar antennas. In this paper the effect of substrate thickness h, dielectric constant εr, slot length l and tapering angle θ on the resonant frequency (fc) and bandwidth of a CPW-Fed slot antenna is analyzed.

Manuscript Title:  A Computer Controlled Microwave Resonant Cavity used for the Dielectric Studies of Liquid Crystals
Manuscript Id: IJMOT-2008-10-400
Abstract:  A cylindrical cavity in TE011 mode is used to study the microwave dielectric response of liquid crystals cyclopentanol and 4, 4’-di-n-heptyloxyazoxybenzene (HAB). The dielectric behavior of these liquid crystals is studied as a function of temperature at a microwave frequency of 9.12 GHz. A computer controlled resonant cavity is used to study the dielectric relaxation behavior in these liquid crystals. In cyclopentanol there is a very interesting behavior and the dielectric relaxation process seems to be a function of cooling rate. This type of behavior is not seen in liquid crystal 4,4’ –di-n- heptyloxyazoxybenzene (HAB).

Manuscript Title:  Dual Polarized Stub Loaded Compact Microstrip Antennas
Manuscript Id: IJMOT-2009-1-420
Abstract:  The C-shaped microstrip antenna is a compact variation of rectangular microstrip antenna and the shorted L-shaped microstrip antenna is a compact variation of C-shaped microstrip antenna. The dual band microstrip antenna is obtained by placing open circuit stub on the edges of the patch. The dual polarized operation is realized when these two modes are orthogonal to each other. In this paper, dual band and dual polarized stub loaded C-shaped and shorted L-shaped shaped microstrip antenna are proposed. Also their multi-port network models are proposed which helps in understanding the mode distributions at various frequencies. The response of these antennas is experimentally verified and a close match is obtained between the simulated, theoretical and measured results.

Manuscript Title:  Angle-of-arrival of Radio Waves Scattered by Turbulent Collisional Magnetized Plasma Layer
Manuscript Id: IJMOT-2009-2-426
Abstract:  Correlation function of EM phase fluctuations is studied theoretically and numerically in geometrical optics approximation taking into account electron density fluctuation of the ionosphere. It is expressed through the ionospheric plasma parameters as well as non-dimension spatial parameters characterizing the given problem. Analytical expressions for the variance and Angle-of-Arrival (AOA) of scattered radiation are derived for anisotropic Gaussian and power law correlation functions. Numerical calculations are carried out for the ionospheric region using satellite observations. They are found to be in a good agreement with experimental data. Statistical simulation (Monte Carlo method) of AOA of scattered radiation by absorptive layer quite well describes the behaviour of spatial power spectrum obtained in small angle approximation using geometrical optics method.

Manuscript Title:  Unequal, Equi-phase, 1:N Power Divider Based on a Sectoral Waveguide
Manuscript Id: IJMOT-2009-3-429
Abstract:  A high power 1:N divider for unequal output amplitudes with equal output phases, based on a H-plane sectoral horn, is presented. The divider has one input port in the rectangular part of the horn and five output ports in the sectoral part of the horn. The divider was simulated and measured. Good agreement between simulation and measurement was achieved, as well as good accuracy of the output amplitudes, phases and matching level for bandwith of about 46% for SWR = 2.

Manuscript Title:  On the Design of CPW – Fed Appollian Gasket Multiband Antenna
Manuscript Id: IJMOT-2009-3-430
Abstract:  This paper presents CPW -fed Appollian fractal antenna. The Antenna has been designed on FR4 substrate εr = 4.3 and thickness 1.53 mm. The antenna has been fabricated and tested using by VNA. The experimental result shows the multiband behavior with the centre frequencies of 1.52 GHz, 4.485 GHz and 7.44 GHz with bandwidth of 70%, 27.7% and 32.6 % respectively. The shift in first resonant frequency of antenna also reveals the size reduction in comparison of solid equilateral triangular patch resonant frequency 2.394 GHz. The experimental radiation pattern of the antenna has been observed near to omni-directional at lower frequency and like electric dipole antenna higher frequency. This antenna can be used for GPS, PCS, Vehicular radar and imaging system applications.

Manuscript Title:  Optical WDM Systems with Binary Pulse Position Modulation and Coding on Binary Asymmetric Channel
Manuscript Id: IJMOT-2008-3-295
Abstract:  In a binary asymmetric channel (BAC) it may be necessary to correct only those errors which result from incorrect transmission of one of the two code elements. In optical fiber multichannel systems, the optical amplifiers are critical components and Amplified Spontaneous Emission (ASE) noise in the optical amplifiers is the major source of noise in it. In this paper performance of single as well as concatenated error correcting codes in such systems in presence of Stimulated Raman Scattering and Amplified Spontaneous Emission noises (ASE, ASE-Signal beat and ASE-ASE beat) with asymmetric channel statistics with Binary Pulse Position (BPPM) modulation scheme is reported. The error probability performances have been evaluated and compared between un-coded OOK, coded BAC with OOK and coded BPPM systems. The coded BPPM is found to be more efficient and has a better error rate than others

Manuscript Title:  Analysis of Biological Tissues Using Laser Reflectometry Method
Manuscript Id: IJMOT-2008-9-395
Abstract:  This paper deals with how the optical properties of human tissues were measured using laser reflectometry method and these values were simulated and well trained using Artificial Neural Network (ANN). In this study, the samples collected from a private medical center and measured optical properties for all samples. These values were used in ANN simulation to train the graphs for all samples. The samples of both the saline and the formaldehyde are compared with ANN simulation. In this, we found that tissues in saline solution could obey ANN and formaldehyde just deviated from the ANN graph. The spatial distribution of photon density of converging laser beams was propagating in a turbid media such as the phantom of biological tissues. This method can be used to obtain a steady state light distribution in the tissue phantom for a continuous wave laser beam.

Manuscript Title:  Stop Band Filter by Using Hybrid Quasi-periodic One Dimensionnal Photonic Crystal in Microwave Domain
Manuscript Id: IJMOT-2009-1-417
Abstract:  Hybrid quasi-periodic multilayer structures constructed from high-low indices-contrast (Roger and Air) quarter-wavelength layers are used in novel multilayer systems. The Quasi-periodic hetero-structures, formed by concatenating hybrid quasi-periodic (generalized Fibonacci structures GF (m,n) and generalized Thue-Morse structures GT-M(m,n); m and n are integer) sequences of different order have properties markedly different from classic systems. In this study, the transmission properties of hybrid quasi-periodic photonic crystals with defects are studied by using a Matrix method approach (MM). Results are presented for normal incident wave with TE polarizations. By increasing the parameter n and m of thus structures, the corresponding transmission properties exhibit interesting properties in microwave domain. We propose a narrow stop band polychromatic filter that covers the frequency range of Global System for Mobile Communication (GSM).
