BIOGRAPHY
Professor Kiyotoshi Yasumoto
Kiyotoshi Yasumoto Kiyotoshi Yasumoto received the B.E., M.E., and D.E. degrees in Communication Engineering from Kyushu University, Fukuoka, Japan, in 1967, 1969, and 1977, respectively. In 1969, he joined the Faculty of Engineering of Kyushu University, where he has been a Professor of the Department of Computer Science and Communication Engineering since 1988,. He was a Visiting Professor of the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of Wisconsin-Madison U.S.A. in 1989, and a Visiting Fellow at Institute of Solid State Physics, Bulgarian Academy of Science and Institute of Radiophysics and Electronics, Czechoslovakian Academy of Science in 1990.
Dr. Yasumoto is a Fellow of the Institute of Electronics, Information and Communication Engineers (IEICE), a Fellow of Optical Society of America (OSA), a Fellow of Chinese Institute of Electronics (CIE), a senior member of IEEE AP, MTT, and LEOS Societies, and a member of the Institute of Electrical Engineers, Japan, the Applied Computational Electromagnetics Society (ACES), and Electromagnetic Academy at MIT. His research interests are in electromagnetic wave theory, analytical and numerical technique in microwave and photonics, and radiation and scattering in electron beam-plasma systems. He has achieved extensive research works in these areas with over 280 research publications in international reputed journals and reviewed conference proceedings.

Dr. Yasumoto has served for many national/international symposia/conferences as the chair and member of the organizing committees, chair and member of technical program committees, editors of proceedings, member of the international advisory committees, session organizer, and session chair.
