BIOGRAPHY
Professor Franco Giannini
Professor Franco Giannini FRANCO GIANNINI was born in Galatina (LE) Italy, on November 9, 1944. He received the degree in Electronics Engineering, summa cum laude, in 1968.
Since 1980 he is FulI Professor of Applied Electronics at the University of Roma "Tor Vergata”, and Honorary Professor of the Warsaw University of Technology (WUT) since 2001. WUT granted him the title of Doctor HC Scientiarum Technicarum in 2008. He is the past Rector and Pro-Rector of his University, Dean of the Faculty of Electronics Engineering, presently is chairman of Electronics Engineering Department.

He has been working on problems concerning modeling, characterization and design methodologies of passive and active microwave components, circuits and subsystems, including GaAs microwave and millimeter wave monolithic integrated circuits.

Prof. Giannini is or has been a consultant for various national and international industrial and governmental organizations, including the International Telecommunication Union and the European Union and is a member of many Committees of International Scientific Conferences on Microwave and Millimeter Wave Techniques & Applications.

Franco Giannini has authored or co authored more than three hundred ninety papers.
